Ducks' Adventure

A duck was wading in a pond on a cold autumn evening, when she thought to herself. Self, it would be really nice to have some company! She flapped her wings and flew out of the pond. The leaves on the trees were turning brown and gold, as she flew she saw a hummingbird. Hello, would you like to join me for a night adventure she asked. Oh no, no, ,no, too busy far too busy and away the hummingbird flitted. She was disappointed but carried on flying. She came upon a flamingo standing on one leg. Would you like to join me for an evening adventure she asked. Oh no, yawned the flamingo, I'm far too busy, and he closed his eyes and went to sleep. Duck thought that was a little rude, but being a polite duck, she carried on flying, she came upon a woodpecker on an oak tree. Hello, she said, would you like to join me on an evening adventure? Tap, tap, tap said the woodpecker, too busy to reply. Duck sighed and flew onward. She was spreading her wings dipping and soaring when she saw a swallow, hello, she said would you like to join me for and evening adventure? The swallow smiled at her, and said I would but I, am far too busy playing with my friends. And away he flew. Duck was soaring when she saw a beautiful pond with lily pads and she heard frogs croaking and what was that? It sounded like a duck, or maybe it was a hen. She flew closer to see. She came upon a hen, blindfolded and counting. Um excuse me she said, what are you doing and what is that sound. The hen removed the blindfold and smiled, hello! I'm playing hide and seek with ny friend frog but he has the hic cups so its not very fun, would you like to play? It could be fun. Duck explained to hen that she was looking for an evening adventure, she told her about hummingbird, flamingo, woodpecker and swallow and how they were all so busy, too busy for an adventure. Hen thought for a moment. You know she said that sounds like an amazing adventure you have had tonight meeting all those birds! Duck thought for a moment, why yes, she thought, yes it has been and now she really wanted to play with hen, so they did and they played and laughed all evening until mommy duck called the duck back home , she told mommy about her adventure, and she was so pleased to hear her little duck so happy.
